Web Traffic Genius Pro – The Update Rocks!

Those of us who already own Web Traffic Genius Pro have been avidly awaiting the promised release of an updated version and trust me, the wait was worth it! This new version is a huge leap forward for what was already one of the best tools in my “secret arsenal” of SEO weapons.

The first thing to know is that this new version requires a fresh install if you’re still running the original version. Be sure to save the aggregators_template.xml file and the extra_feed.xml files from your original version so you can import them to the new version.

Here’s what you’re getting in the new version of Web Traffic Genius Pro:

These are “NEW”  features added to software that ALREADY has built
millions of quality backlinks and propelled thousands of web pages
to PAGE ONE IN THE SEARCH ENGINES!

1. The number of RSS Aggregators has been increased dramatically. There are now 50 + aggregators.

2. Aggregators have been sorted into three types.

* Ones that do not require a username/password or captcha code.
* Ones that require a username/password but not a captcha code.
* Ones that require a captcha and possibly a username/password as well.

3. Captcha Code Support

The Web Traffic Genius now supports three optional  CAPTCHA services. For a small fee, these captcha services will solve your captcha challenges for you. This opens up the ability to automatically post your feeds to the highest value aggregators.

====> This  captcha option is huge folks!

Although it sounds complex, in principle it works extremely  well and automatically. We know of NO OTHER RSS web traffic software that offers this exciting advanced captcha option, that makes a dramatic difference to your backlink creation, page rank  and web traffic.

The captcha is entirely optional and you  choose not to use it, you still get to use other RSS aggregators.  But we recommend you use the captcha option as it will benefit you!

4. Better automation support.

In the past when processing new posts, there was a delay after the post was published where Web Traffic Genius created the RSS feeds and submitted to the RSS sites.  This in some cases slowed down the blog a little  as it could not “continue” until all submissions had been made.

Now what will happen is; Web Traffic Genius will do it’s processing in the “background” meaning there is no delay after publishing a post.  Rather it will be processed immediately but without effecting your use of the blog.

This makes your blog more responsive and also means it works better with plugins that auto generate content since in some cases they were “timing out” waiting for Web Traffic Genius to complete it’s work.

5. Adsense/code formatting problems.

Some sites experienced an issue where the RSS feeds were getting corrupted with Adsense code in it, etc.  This has been corrected.

6. Keywords in RSS feed names.

The RSS feed that is created for each post now uses the title of the post in the filename for even better SEO/ranking purposes.

7. Deactivation of the plugin caused settings to be lost, this has been fixed.

8.  There is a pause button in the Options screen.  If paused Web Traffic Genius will do no processing for posts made on the blog. This is to covert situations with automated tools where you do not want Web Traffic Genius to process hundreds or thousands of posts at once.

9. A list of RSS Feed URL’s is now available for copying/pasting into other applications.

10. Randomness of extra feeds has been fixed because in some cases a truly “random” extra feed(s) were not added to the main feed when RSS feeds were created.

11. When entering Extra feeds, if an RSS feed URL is entered, then all entries from that feed will be added to extra feeds.

12. Import/Export has been improved to automatically backup/restore extra feeds and captcha service information as well.

13. Spinning capability has been added for extra feeds titles and descriptions.

14. RSS Feed summary/detailed option in the options screen has been added to include a summary instead of the whole post, etc.

15. For CRON jobs, the the post existing screen has been made clearer to read to avoid confusion where it looked like web traffic was submitting the same post numerous times, when in fact it showing a list of every service being submitted to for the same post.

16. Better compatibility with other plugins – We have attempted to eliminate compatibility issues with other plugins using the same function names, etc which can cause conflicts and stop either Web Traffic Genius or the other plugin to work.

17. In some cases there was a issue where non “published” posts were processed.  This has been fixed.  Only published posts will be processed.

Upgrade capability added – It is not possible to use the WordPress inbuilt upgrade capability for plugins as this is only able to be used for free plugins on the WordPress.org site.

We have added our own upgrade capability to enable you to upgrade to the new version without requiring a manual installation.  We also added the capability for you to test if a new version is available.

19. Web Traffic Genius now supports processing for WordPress pages as well as posts.

20. A category can now be chosen for each RSS aggregator to ensure Web Traffic Genius does not post in the same place each time and to make it more relevant.

As you can see, these are very comprehensive changes that will make the Web Traffic Genius even more powerful and easy to use.

Web Traffic Genius Review

Web Traffic Genius – What is it? What does it do? Is it worth the money? I’ve got those answers and more right here.

Web Traffic Genius is a WordPress Plugin and standalone software package that creates RSS feeds for all of your posts and pages and automatically submits those feeds to a selection of RSS aggregators, also called RSS distributors. (Hot Tip - create several different accounts at the aggregators that require you to register. This will leave a more natural footprint)

Created by Anthony & Tim Buchalka (aka The Marketing Assassins), I first heard about it in one of the popular marketing forums and after watching the videos and reading the sales letter, I decided to give it a try. Man, am I glad I did. This baby rocks!

Before I get into the complete review, let me show you the “proof of the pudding”…

Web Traffic Genius – The Results Video

So now that you’ve seen it really works, let me tell you more about it.

The current list of aggregators it submits to contains 20 addresses, but one of them is currently out of commission and one of those that requires set-up is for a site in Danish and I didn’t spot an easy link to an English version of the site so I passed on that one.

One of the better aggregators, feedage.com, has recently gone to a captcha submission page so it is also not available as I write this review. In the excellent customer support forums, Tim and Anthony are gathering customer requests for the new version (free update) that will soon be released that should have either an automated solver or a way to present captchas to the owner when he or she logs into the blog.

So I was left with 17 working RSS aggregators, which is a very decent number.

“Extrafeeds”

The “Extrafeeds” feature is what really makes this software stand out from the crowd, in my opinion. Here’s how it works…

Since many of the aggregators will not accept feeds with only one item (like a single blog post) Web Traffic Genius allows you to create a list of feeds it will automatically “add on” to the original post feed. You have control of the number of extrafeeds and I usually set mine at a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8.

The interesting question is just what feeds are you going to add?

One of the obvious answers is the feeds of your other websites. Since the feeds get their relevance from their content and since the content is still coming from its home URL, it doesn’t matter if a feed from an apples site is added to the feed of an oranges site, they all still maintain their Google love. (Hot Tip – Use the Extrafeeds to create “deep” links to featured individual posts and pages and not just the top level domain name of your additional sites)

Here’s one of my personal “ninja tricks” to really amp this feature up to 11.

There’s a very under-utilized feature in WordPress RSS feeds that allows you to create keyword specific feeds. Here’s the syntax if you wanted to create a feed for the keywords “cheap widgets”:

http://example.com/feed?s=cheap+widgets

Naturally, you will want to choose keywords highly relevant to your content and well represented in your posts and pages. You could also create feeds for your keywords to a specific category or post by the use of the permalink structure. Like this:

http://example.com/industrial/widgets/feed?s=cheap

or this:

http://example.com/industrial/feed?s=cheap

Now here’s where it gets really crazy. These keyword feeds can come from any site! One of the ways to take advantage of that would be to create two or three keyword feeds for every post and page on the site that is hosting the plugin. You have just tripled or quadrupled the number of backlinks you can make to your site! And, if you have other sites, you can do the same thing for them! This is truly a powerful feature if you take full advantage of it.

Bonuses

I’m not going to say anything about the bonuses except that they are really, really, good. Pure gold.

Pros and Cons

Pros – Creates massive backlinks!  Once it is set-up it works completely on auto-pilot. Easy to follow installation videos. Good support. Good forums.

Cons – Setup is time consuming and a bit “techy” (but not much). If you’re adding it to an existing site with tons of posts and pages, you’ll want to set it up for “cron” jobs to post existing content. Good installation videos make it a snap.

Bottom Line

I’ve used this plugin for a couple of months now and I truly think it rocks! I’ve installed it on all of my sites (including this one)  and my rankings and traffic have shown significant improvement that is sure to continue. I will be using this on all my sites from now on and can heartily recommend it to all internet marketers.
